How do I become a United States citizen?

I was deported a year ago but I was told and I also read that I could possibly be a citizen because my mother became a citizen when I was 14. What steps should I take to find out if I may be a citizen?

You should start be speaking in person with an attorney about the situation. There are certain requirements to derive citizenship through a parent. If you are eligible, you will need to file an application with USCIS so you receive proof of citizenship.
