I have a boyfriend for 5 years and we just got married. I would like to fix his status here. I am Puerto-Rican and he is Mexican. How long do I have to wait for his immigration status to get fix?

I would need more information to answer this question. The answer depends upon several factors such as your boyfriend’s prior immigration history, whether he is currently in the United States, how he entered the United States, prior criminal history, etc. In general, the process takes about 1 to 1½ years to complete. I would suggest you meet with an attorney in person to discuss the matter further.
