Is it possible to get a green card if you were deported out of the country for 10 years?

My boyfriend was deported 10 years ago. We lived in Guadalajara together those 10 years and I recently had to come back to the states. We want to get married in Mexico and get him papers so that we can be a family again. We have 1 child together. He went into the U.S. when he was 12 years old and his mother filed for papers but they were denied because of dates that did not coincide. He only had a work permit. He was arrested for possession of drugs for sale and he did his time. Then he was kicked out of the U.S. for a period of 10 years. Those years have passed and we want to know if he will need to get a pardon and if the back child support that he owes will be an issue for him being able to marry me and get his papers?

We would need to know more about his drug conviction to give you a proper opinion. The United States immigration law treats drug offenses very strictly, but there are some exceptions.
