Will they come after me if my aunt was deported?
LawQA.com's picture

My aunt (a family friend of ours) was deported recently after questioning by Immigration officials at the port of entry. She came here on Tourist visa with multiple entry for 10 years sponsored by me. They made allegations that she is coming here for baby sitting and they made her to confess that she is coming here to baby sit for some amount. They all have the information from her about me and then deported her. So will this affect me in any way? Will they come after me?

It depends upon your immigration status. Typically, such an investigation only impacts the person who was traveling to the United States. However, USCIS could investigate the matter further. You should consider meeting with an attorney in person to discuss the matter in detail.
